Casa Grande Pathway and Memorial Bench Dedication

The New Almaden Quicksilver County Park
Association held their 34th annual pioneer day at the Casa Grande, the
New Almaden Quicksilver Mining Museum. The theme of this year's Pioneer
Day was the dedication of the new pathway to the Casa Grande and the
memorial bench in front of the Casa Grande (to the left of the main
entrance stairway above).
Pioneer Day is being held in the picnic area behind the Casa Grande.

Part of this year's Pioneer Day is the dedication of the memorial bench for Pat Johnson. Pat's brother Randy talks about his sister and the bench.
Bruce talks about the construction of the pathway, which is being dedicated today.
This is the pathway leading from Almaden Road to the Casa Grande parking lot. It was built by NAQCPA volunteers, led by Bruce. It was built using leftover bricks from the Casa Grande patio construction, with sand provided by park maintenance.
