Almaden Quicksilver Park HDR Pictures 2/27/10These HDR (High Dynamic Range)
pictures were taken in Almaden Quicksilver County Park on 2/27/10. I
hiked up the Deep Gulch Trail with the Healthy Trails hike, then went
off to take HDR pictures in the park, starting from English Camp. The
day was partly cloudy, with scattered showers, which made for some
interesting lighting conditions. There had been a big storm the day
before, so there was lots of water on the trails. I had
my lightweight tripod with me to steady my camera to take the multiple
exposures required for HDR imaging. I took pictures around English
Camp, then went up the Castillero Trail to Mine Hill. I hiked to
Spanish Town and down to the Hidalgo Cemetery. I took the Yellow Kid
Trail back to English Camp and came down the English Camp Trail. The
pictures were taken with my Olympus E-510 DSLR with a polarizing
filter. Each picture below is made up of 3 to 5 individual shots, each
taken at a different exposure and combined into 1 using Photomatix.
Afterwards, they were edited for web publishing with PhotoImpact.
