New Almaden Day, September 13, 2014

Carnival




After the New Almaden Day Jump-In Parade, the carnival at the New Almaden Community Center began. It began with a flag salute and the national anthem. There were carnival games and face painting. There was a booth showing plans for the new bridge below Almaden Reservoir. In the clubhouse, there was a silent raffle, a bake sale, and a cakewalk. Barbecued hotdogs and pepper steak were served for lunch. People danced to the music of the country band "One Eyed Jacks." New Almaden T-shirts were on sale. Lots of raffle prizes were given out.
